Looking for some special holiday events to keep you busy? Downtown Harrisonburg has you covered. We’ve got parties, photographs with Santa, a special holiday parade, and so much more!

  • Stop by the Shenandoah Bicycle Company before the holiday parade to keep warm, have some delicious food, and enjoy the festivities! They will be offering tasty treats and delicious beverages on tap, with hot chocolate as well for all the kids!
  • Head on over to the Gaines Group Architects’ holiday party for photos with Santa, a special performance by the Red Wing Academy, and an art show by Eastern Mennonite School students. Guests can also expect a special tour of the Depot, as well. It’s the perfect way to enjoy your evening!
  • Want to get your professional photo with Santa, capturing that special holiday memory, for only $5? Glen’s Fair Price Store is just the spot! All customers will receive two prints, which will be available for pickup on December 11th. Make a memory that will last a lifetime before the festivities begin!
  • Rocktown Bicycles is having their annual holiday party! A fun, holiday-themed craft will be going on in their workshop area and they’ll be providing tasty snacks and drinks. You can stop by anytime after 6 pm and enjoy a great time!
  • A special Parade Pack deal is being offered at Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Friday evening. You can pick up a small bag of any flavor and a drink for only $5! Plus, kids can drop off a homemade ornament for the tree, and get a bag of theater popcorn for free!
  • Come downtown to “capture the magic” of this year’s Holiday Parade along Main Street. Festivities kick off with the Santa Run, Walk, ‘N Roll just before the parade begins. Proceeds support the Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham’s mission to protect the rights of those with intellectual or developmental disabilities and promote their inclusion and participation within the community. The evening concludes with the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Court Square, with JMU’s very own Marching Royal Dukes performing a special holiday concert. With all these wonderful holiday events going on, this is definitely not a night to miss!
