The Veterans Parade is this Sunday, and many Downtown businesses are also running specials to thank those who have served! Here’s where to go Veterans Day weekend and holiday:
Urgie’s Cheesesteaks: On Sunday, they’ll be hosting Urgie’s 1st Marine Corps Birthday Bash and Veterans Parade After-Party. All vets will receive 20% off their meals and everyone is invited to participate in their “Buy a Vet a Beer” program. Come back Monday for Urgie’s 1st Veterans Day Party. Just a reminder that Veterans and First Responders get 15% off their meals EVERY Thursday at Urgie’s! They’ve also generously donated a thank-you lunch for the Grand Marshals of our Veterans Parade as well. Thank you, Urgie’s!
Bluetique: Will be offering 20% off for all veterans and active duty military Sunday the 10th and Monday the 11th.
Hugo Kohl: Offers 10% discount on all in-store jewelry to veterans every day!
Friendly City Dance Room: Will be offering a discount on one of their lesson packages. The Enjoy-It package includes 4 personal lessons, 8 community classes, and all dance nights in a 30 day period, good for 30 days after purchase, for $350 (usually $450). This offer will be good through the whole month of November!
Horizon Gifts: Will be offering 20% off storewide for all veterans and active duty military Veterans Day Weekend.
Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn: Will be offering a Parade Pack: any small bag and a drink for $5.00 (during the Veterans Parade)
Pale Fire: Will have happy hour from 1-9pm ($1 off pints) on Veterans Parade Sunday and Veterans Day Monday. On Sunday they will also be hosting the CVBS Jam with Kat & The Travelers from 2-5pm. Come by for free blues music!
Clementine & Ruby’s Arcade: Veterans that show their military ID will receive 10% off their meal at both locations on Veterans Day.
Kline’s Dairy Bar: One free Single scoop Cup or Cone for retired or active military personnel on Veterans Day.
Virginia Quilt Museum: Will not be open on Veterans Day Monday. However, they always offer a discount for Military, Retired Military and First Responders!
