“Day of the Arts” in Harrisonburg!!!

May 4, 12-4: “Day of the Arts” in Harrisonburg!!!!!!  The on-site OASIS activities will include demonstrations by Natalie Darling, Delaney Westwood, Bill Nelson and Shelley O'Connor.  Other members (Brenda Fairweather, Jackson Taylor, and Bahir al Badry) will be at OASIS to answer questions about their processes and suppliers (or any other questions you may have).  Cousin Jimmy’s Stringband will be playing outside OASIS; bring your dancing feet! more

Life is a Tapestry print workshop

May 2, 16, 23 and 30, 6:30-7:45:  “Life is a Tapestry”.  This print workshop will be taught by OASIS member Susan Elliott.  Each week, Susan will teach a different print technique (Chinese wood block, Gelli print, Japanese fish printing and West African batik).  The cost is $45 for the four sessions.  Reservations are required: call Susan at 571-277-3024 to reserve.  Advance payment will be required. These workshops are made possible by a grant from The Arts Council of the Valley. more

“Wild and Wonderful” Exhibit @ the Library

SAVE THE DATE #2: May 7th, 6:30 pm: There will be a reception at the Library to open the “Wild and Wonderful” show, an exhibit of some of the artwork created by children under the leadership of OASIS teachers.  This program was funded by a grant from The Community Foundation. more
