Easter Promotions Springing Up Downtown

As flowers start blooming and the weather starts warming up this week, local businesses are ready to welcome you downtown to celebrate Easter and the spring season! Check out these activities and promotions below and plan your trip downtown to enjoy the warm sunshine.

 

Things to Do

There are several things to do downtown this month to celebrate the coming of Easter and spring. Join family and friends for these fun and festive community activities.

Downtown Harrisonburg Shop Hop Egg Hunt

Shop Hop – Saturday, April 3rd,  11 am – 5 pm

Celebrate spring and support small businesses as your family strolls through downtown collecting Easter eggs filled with sweet treats, little toys, and coupons from 18 participating businesses.

Note: This event requires ALL participants to properly wear a mask over their nose and mouth, take care to stay at least 6 feet away from others who are not in your party, and follow CDC guidelines and all posted guidelines at each business you visit.

Spend the day downtown! Stop for a coffee, lunch, or dinner at any of these fantastic cafes and coffee shops! Check out the Directory.

Guessing Game

Pendleton Bank’s Guessing Game – Monday, March 29th – Friday, April 2nd, 9 am – 3 pm

Play Pendelton Bank’s Easter candy guessing game for your chance to win $25 Downtown Dollars! The contest winner can pick up the prize on Saturday, April 3rd through the bank drive-thru. If you are unable to make it by 3 pm, please give the bank a call at 540-214-2070.

 

Pastel Party

Pastel Dance Party – Saturday, April 17th, 7 pm – 11 pm

Looking for some Easter fun? Head on out to Friendly City Dance Room for their Pastel Party! Enjoy sweets and social dancing from 7 pm – 11 pm on April 17th! Wear your favorite pastel colors and grab your bunny ears! $15 at the door or online at www.friendlycitydanceroom.com!

 

Food & Drink

Pick up some special goodies for your Easter basket, plan your holiday dinner menu, or treat yourself to a cold beverage with these food and drink specials.

Friendly City Food Co-op

The Friendly City Food Co-op is offering a smorgasbord of Easter treats for your table and basket. In stock now are both spiral sliced hams and ham nuggets (for smaller gatherings) from Garrett Valley Farms – all uncured, no nitrates, and humanely raised.

Don’t forget dessert! Find marshmallows as well as chocolate bunnies, bars, and eggs from Lake Champlain, Divine, Chocolove, Gearharts, and Tony’s Chocolonely at the Co-op this week as well!

 

Sage Bird Ciderworks

Sage Bird is releasing a new cider and is offering special discounts all Easter weekend! Come out and try a new session cider called Day Hiker, a light cider infused with ginger. Plus, get 10% off to-go items all weekend (Saturday-Sunday) and 10% off mimosa carafes on Easter Sunday.

 

El Pasiano Bakery

Need a dessert that will satisfy the whole family? El Pasiano Bakery is taking orders for doughnuts, cupcakes, tres leches cakes, and regular cakes for Easter weekend.
