Play without Boundaries is a low sensory event where children and their families can explore the Museum without the noise, crowds, and stimulation of a typical day. During this time, the museum will be closed to the general public and families will have access to the entire museum as well as Quiet Zones stocked with calming, sensory toys. FIRST LEGO League Explorers is a non-competitive, hands-on STEM program geared toward children, ages 6-10. Students will collaborate as teams to research real world problems and then create working LEGO models of what they learned! The challenge this year is "Submerged." Teams will use creative thinking and technology to explore the layers of the ocean and bring their ideas to the surface as they “sea” into the future. Teams will display and share their projects at the First Lego League Regional Expo at Explore More on the afternoon of Sunday, April 27th. more
