Through the enchanting blend of ventriloquism and humor, Uncle Ty-Rone establishes a lively
dialogue with students, utilizing his “ventriloqpuppets” as companions. A multi-talented
professional, Uncle Ty-Rone seamlessly combines the arts of ventriloquism, DJing, puppeteering,
and comedy to engage and inspire young minds.
Travis, a Richmond, VA native, became interested in ventriloquism after seeing Edgar Bergen
perform on TV, prompting his parents to take him to the library to check out books on
ventriloquism.
“Those books were the spark I needed,” Travis recalled. “I started reading a book every day.”
His reading teacher was so impressed by his new attitude toward reading and learning that she
offered Travis a chance to put on a ventriloquism show in the library for the whole school.
A professional since 1994, Travis got his big break at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, where he
learned how to attract and entertain large crowds. He now shares his love for entertaining at
comedy clubs, fairs, festivals, libraries, corporate events, and educational venues across the
country.
