Price versus Value – Part 1 Seminar

June 5 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In this compelling presentation, valuation and M&A advisory expert Greg Waller explores the essential – and often misunderstood – but crucial difference between price and value, a distinction that can make or break a successful business sale. Whether you’re preparing for an exit or simply want to understand what drives your company’s true worth, this session will help you think like a buyer, not just a seller.

Date: Thursday, June 5th

Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Location: The Offices @ 31 N. Federal Street

Why Attend?

Attendees will gain actionable insights into how market conditions, buyer motivations, risk factors, and financial fundamentals that influence a company’s valuation – and why the numbers on a term sheet rarely tell the whole story. You’ll leave with a sharper understanding of how to position your business to command not just a high price – but the right one.

About Greg Waller:

Greg Waller is perhaps the most unlikely Professor you will ever meet. The son of a “Blue-Collar Entrepreneur,” Greg was raised in – and now owns – his father’s industrial painting equipment distribution company; he’s owned and operated an industrial painting company that specialized in painting elevated structural steel infrastructure like bridges and tanks; been a partner in a real estate development firm, and until very recently, was a partner in a restaurant operating group.

Somehow, Greg managed to get accepted into, and actually graduate from, Purdue University with a Ph.D. in finance, following his undergraduate and MBA degrees from Ohio University. He is currently the Managing Partner at Cornerstone Valuation, an affiliate of Transact Capital, where he advises clients on business valuation and works with clients on both buy- and sell-side M&A transactions. He is also a tenured Associate Professor of Finance at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he does research and teaches courses on corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate governance.
