Thanks to the generosity of the community, HRCDC is in our very own building! Our classrooms are beautiful and furnished to create an amazing environment for all of our children. Now it’s time to turn our attention to creating permanent playgrounds, one for our infant/toddlers and one for 2–5-year-olds, that will provide a safe, secure, and creative space for our children to play outdoors.
One of the daily requirements for our children is at least one hour of outside play each day. Outdoor play is such a critical component of children’s development and wellbeing and while we are grateful to have outdoor spaces…we can do better than a parking lot 
The total cost of this exciting project is $200,000. This year for the Great Community Give we are asking for your help to raise at least $30,000 to help with this project. Our beautiful playgrounds will be happy and colorful additions to the landscape of downtown Harrisonburg and enjoyed by children for many years to come!
