Renew Rocktown, with support from the Friendly City Food Co-op and the HR Earth Day Committee, is pleased to invite you to the 2025 Harrisonburg-Rockingham Earth Day Luncheon and Happy Hour, taking place on April 22, 2025, at The Loft at Liberty St. This event will bring together local leaders, advocates, and organizations to celebrate environmental achievements, strengthen collaborations, and build a shared vision for a thriving and sustainable community.
At a time when environmental challenges are deeply connected to the health and well-being of our communities, this event aims to demonstrate how local initiatives across transportation, energy, food, and housing can work together to create meaningful impact. A thriving environment and a thriving community go hand in hand, and our greatest opportunity lies in advancing local climate solutions—together.
The Earth Day Luncheon will feature a locally sourced buffet lunch, networking opportunities, and inspiring conversations that celebrate local environmental wins while exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration. Attendees will include leaders from across Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, representing diverse sectors such as local government, business, nonprofits, and grassroots organizations. An RSVP is required.
Following lunch, participants will engage in discussions that uncover the intersections of their work, highlight opportunities for strategic alignment, and share bold visions for a sustainable future. A special award presentation will recognize outstanding contributions to environmental action in the region.
In the evening, community members are invited to continue the conversation at the Earth Day Happy Hour where appetizers will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. Happy Hour is free and open to the public! Please share!
