Join Dawn and Chris Womack, the husband-and-wife comedy duo known as The Funny Womacks, for an interactive, fun-filled 4-week workshop designed to help you develop your comedic voice and create a 5-minute set.
Whether you’re a seasoned storyteller or a complete beginner, this workshop is perfect for anyone who loves comedy and wants to learn the basics of stand-up, punch up their existing material, or become funnier in social settings. The class will teach techniques used by professional comedians, from the art of writing jokes to performing them in front of an audience, all while helping you tap into your unique comedic style. Led by Dawn and Chris Womack—veteran comedians and showrunners of FWAF Show. Off stage Chris is a JMU Kinesiology Professor and Dawn is the content creator behind Virginia Is For Laughers, a podcast about all things non-hiking in the Shenandoah Valley. With years of experience in stand-up comedy, including performances as a duo and solo acts, Dawn and Chris will guide you through every step of the comedy journey.
