Bryan Elijah Smith is an international award-winning American singer-songwriter based out of Virginia. With over 2,000 songs penned, Smith has created a self-produced, independent legacy without the restraints of labels or management. In Through the Dark appears in the hit Netflix series Virgin River. Subsequently, it received a 2020 Independent Music Award nomination for Best Song – Used in Film/TV and was recently featured on SiriusXM in 2024. Smith has opened for artists such as Jim Lauderdale, Ryan Montbleau, Sierra Ferrell, Joe Pug, and Old Crow Medicine Show. Aside from touring the United States for well over a decade and a half, Smith has also toured internationally in Brazil, Australia, and Honduras. In March and August 2024, Smith captivated audiences internationally with sold-out shows in São Paulo, Brazil, at The S. and a noteworthy appearance on Energia 97 FM, one of Brazil’s premier radio stations. Smith’s 2024 single, The Line, went viral on TikTok in July 2024, garnering over 13 million views, and his latest 2025 single, Bad News, is featured on Spotify’s Blues Roots editorial playlist. With over 8 million Spotify streams across a catalog of 50+ songs, Smith continues to carve his own path 100% independently.
