Downtown Dinner Party is an inspired celebration of the Valley’s love for Downtown Harrisonburg and our culinary stars! Highlighting the exceptional array of restaurants in Virginia’s First Culinary District, the Dinner Party invites you to mix and mingle, enjoy more than fifteen delicious tasting stations, sip local beer, wine, cider, and coffee, bid in a live auction with unique local experiences you won’t find anywhere else, and join in the most fun dance party around. Many attendees hailed this as the “best event ever.”

ROCKIN’ RV WINE TOUR FOR 8 WITH MAGPIE DINER & BAKERY
We hear you. Everyone’s been on a wine bus before, so we’re mixing it up this time! Hop aboard a comfy RV complete with a couch and plush chairs. Enjoy breakfast and mimosas from Kirsten Moore’s Magpie Diner & Bakery (opening late 2019/early 2020 in the former Big L Tire location) as you make your way to four different wineries. A picnic lunch at one of the stops will give you an exclusive sneak peek at the Magpie menu. You’ll also get VIP invitations to the soft opening when the time comes!

NROCKS VIA FERRATA TRIP FOR 2 WITH LODGING

The Via Ferrata at NROCKS is a one of a kind adventure experience, offering a mile of fixed-anchor, professionally-guided rock climbing. During this 3.5-5 hour climb you’ll gain 1085 feet in elevation, cross a suspension bridge that is 150 feet high and 200 feet long, and reach exposed heights of 280 feet. Italian for ‘by way of iron’, the Via Ferrata is a permanently installed system of steel rungs and cables that allows you to climb up and over two towering rock fins. Not for the faint of heart, but well worth the effort. Plus, you’ll have overnight accommodations in the lodge on site and a packed meal to go from Rocktown Kitchen.

THE SKY’S THE LIMIT
Especially when you’re in a hot air balloon! Enjoy a four-person sunrise hot air balloon flight (approximately 40-60 minutes), champagne toast when you land, and a picnic breakfast from Heritage Bakery & Cafe. The whole adventure is 2-3 hours long, and you’ll get to be hands on if you want to or simply enjoy the ride!

CUSTOM FARM TABLE FROM LOCALLY-SOURCED WOOD
Have you seen the beautiful conference table in HDR’s office — the one made from municipal trees that had to be removed? How would you like your own custom piece? Rocktown Urban Wood is a cooperative made up of the talented Ned Gearing, Landon Heavener, Rhett Miles, and Brad Wroblewski. With a combined 35 years experience, these craftsmen create one-of-a-kind projects from locally-sourced wood. This auction item allows the purchaser a $2,500 credit towards a custom project of your choosing. Available wood options, colors, and edging will be dependent on stock at the time of the project request.

Donated by Rocktown Urban Wood. Delivery and assembly included within Harrisonburg City Limits. For customers outside of that radius, a personalized solution will be identified. Final design of this project must be agreed upon by both Rocktown Urban Wood and the client no later than Sept. 1, 2019. Project may take up to 8 weeks for delivery.

TRENT WAGLER SOLO HOUSE CONCERT & SUB ROSA DINNER FOR 12
This item might have two of the hottest tickets in town. The incredibly talented Trent Wagler of the Steel Wheels will perform a solo house concert or backyard show for you and your guests. But first, start the evening out with a localy-sourced dinner for 12, styled and prepared by Sub Rosa Supper Club, a local pop-up supper club recently featured in Virginia Living Magazine.
