Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance is celebrating the start of summer all across Downtown Harrisonburg.
This family-friendly event features a variety of activities and entertainment spread throughout the district for all ages. Listen to local live music, wonder at magicians, engage with community art projects, try out arts and crafts activities, indulge in food specials at restaurants, explore food trucks and vendors, enjoy Sip & Stroll, and more!

Sip & Stroll is an element of our events that replaces the usual beer garden. Adults aged 21+ can purchase a beer, wine, or cocktails at a participating brewery, cidery, or restaurant and enjoy it while strolling downtown.

Celebrate 15 year of the Friendly City Food Co-op with free face painting, lemonade bar, in-store scavenger hunt, craft, inflatable, petting zoo, shaved ice, balloon twister, and cake.

Earn merit badges as you Sip & Stroll your way down Liberty Street, engage with activities and booths, discover pop-up vendors, enjoy live music, play lawn games, make arts & crafts, and more at participating businesses. Stop by the Speech & Language Center for sensory-friendly programming including a sand table, bubbles, crafts, and access to an on-site sensory gym.

It's the Best.Weekend.Ever...FOR DOGS! Find plenty of activities for all ages around downtown, but there's only one place where four-legged furry friends are the star of the show.
We'll have "doggie" pools, free tennis balls, an agility course, bubbles, misting station, and more!

Event Parking
There will be ample event parking in downtown Harrisonburg for Best.Weekend.Ever., including additional private lots open to the public on the event day. Main Street, from Campbell to Wolfe St, will be closed from 8 AM - 7 PM, but parking will be accessible from Mason Street and Liberty Street.
Public parking is available all day in the municipal parking lots in blue and in additional Saturday Event Parking lots indicated in green on the map on this page. Street parking is also available on Liberty Street between Grattan Street and Warren Street.
Guests will be able to park in hourly spots without time penalty. Please adhere to any posted tow-away zones, accessible parking spaces, and Restricted Parking areas.
