Made possible by a Destination Downtown grant from HDR, StoryWalk is an interactive, kid-friendly, fun, and free new way to explore Downtown Harrisonburg— while also enjoying a diverse selection of childrens' stories with messages and lessons that you'll feel good sharing with your family. more

Creating a Destination

The Destination Downtown Grant was created to beautify, add vibrancy, and introduce new experiences to downtown Harrisonburg. We invited the community to join us in making downtown an ever-stronger destination for locals and visitors alike. It was hard to choose among the 25 applications, but a panel of community members helped us narrow it down so we could award nine grants that will help us put $25,000 directly into the heart of our city. more

Bluestone Bike and Run Opens Satellite Location in Agora Downtown Market

As Harrisonburg continues to receive accolades for the continued support and development of becoming a leading bike destination and Top Adventure Town by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine, business owner Kyle Coleman has continued to find value in providing personalized service and customization for his clientele by expanding Bluestone Bike and Run to include a downtown location in Agora Downtown Market. Located at 165 S. Main Street next to Clementine, Ten Thousand Villages, and adjacent from the Massanutten Regional Library, Agora Downtown Market opened in June of 2017 featuring some of the most unique merchandise in the first collaborative retail space in Harrisonburg. more
