Our morning program will consist of honoring black athletes of the 1960s and earlier who played in segregated leagues. There will be a host of guest speakers who will share photos and stories about various leagues throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Our afternoon program will consist of honoring black chefs who cooked and served at local restaurants but were not allowed to eat in the dining room. We focus on sharing the history of the segregated area in the valley. We will enjoy food and community as we visit down by the Riverside.
