Please join artist Jeff Guinn, Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, and the Arts Council of the Valley to celebrate downtown’s newest sculpture – Language of Love – during this sign reveal & outdoor reception.
Located by the Turner Pavilion behind the Arts Council’s Smith House Galleries and designed for community members to play and interact with, Language of Love celebrates what local students and their families shared with the artist about what they love about Harrisonburg and value about living in the Friendly City – from the natural beauty surrounding our Valley town to our welcoming spirit and inclusivity.
We invite you to participate in the unveiling of the sculpture’s sign and to enjoy light refreshments while interacting with the sculpture and celebrating this amenity. Bring your kids! Hear from the artist about his vision behind this work of art and how he built it and join us as we thank the many volunteers and supporters who made this possible.
