Impressions Theatre, a regional touring company based in the Shenandoah Valley, is coming to Central Library on Wednesday, June 27th with their latest show, “The New Adventures of Tom Sawyer.”
Based on characters created by Mark Twain, the show follows the exploits of Tom and Huck as they travel the globe to acquire pieces of the world’s great architecture. Along the way, they learn important lessons about life, art, and design to come up with a totally original creation. Part of MRL’s “Summer Reading Games,” this fun-filled show is interactive and includes audience participation. It is appropriate for all ages, but is best suited for ages five to twelve.
Impressions Theatre was founded by Christopher Markham out of a desire to bring high-quality educational theatre to elementary-aged children. Impressions Theatre has performed in schools and libraries throughout Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Their mission is to instill a thirst for knowledge in young people through the wonder of live theatre.
