Travel to the African savanna at Court Square Theater (CST) Feb 20-Mar
2 during the ACT ONE production of Disney’s The Lion King JR. Performances are Thursday-Saturday, Feb 20-22 and Feb 27-Mar 1 at 7 pm; with matinee performances Saturday and Sunday, Feb 22-23 and Mar 1-2 at 2 pm.
Based on the 1994 Disney animated feature film of the same name and William Shakespeare’sHamlet, The Lion King JR is a story and a spectacle about identity, family, and responsibility that
is enjoyed worldwide by people of all ages.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance. Advance adult tickets are $20 ($25 at door);
advance student tickets are $15 ($20 at door). Tickets are available at courtsquaretheater.org or

The production is co-directed by J.P. Gulla and Leeanne Shepherd, with Bobbi Paulette-Payne as
assistant director and JJ Espinal Cruz as choreographer. Eighty children from 26 different
schools attended auditions, leading the co-directors to decide on a full double cast. Cast A
principals will participate with Cast B as ensemble and vice versa.
